Repurposed CD Spindle: Bagel Transport

Photo: pwka
I hate packing my lunch for work. It’s much easier to just go out and get something, but that really limits your options when it comes to eating something that’s good for you. Well, this repurposed CD spindle may be cool enough of an idea to turn it all around for me.
Just wash your old CD spindle, add bagel sandwich and you’re good to go. Waste not…

First of all, that’s sheer genius. Very creative. Second, what possessed the designer of this submission box to make the text the same color as the background?

I’ve been carrying my egg rolls in empty toilet paper rolls for years. There’s nothing like a egg roll that smells like Charmin. Heaven. Please don’t squeeze the egg rolls!

1. I saw this years ago.
2. consuming food off of plastic that has not been ‘vetted’ as ‘for safe consumption from’ probably isn’t the best idea.
3. I have a better idea, ‘a new twist on an old habit,’ does anyone remember their father or father’s workshop in their basement? Instead of screwing jar lids to the ceiling and then using the jars to hold screws/nails/bolts (so they can be stored by screwing the jar into the lid affixed to the ceiling) attach the spindle to the ceiling with 2 screws opposite each other, then use the spindle covers to hold screws/nuts/bolts. Voilá!

Great idea. I take fruit-salad or veggies myself, and always use klip-it containers, so there’s no chance of the lid popping off, which can happen with some containers. They do a round container that’s about bagel size - I may try it.

A good idea - but why does everyone rave about bagels? they must be the most boring food in the world, bar none.
